I'm just going to make a quick update regarding my projects and other content.
STUFF I'VE ALREADY DONE
Flash Flood 2022 + Jamuary:
Rather than flood the Portal with a new animation a day, I'm flooding the Audio Portal with a new song a day. Exactly the same as Jamuary, which I also participated in. This means a new song a day for 2 months.
Go follow @BeepBoxClock to listen to these songs.
Here's the most recent of these:
BallFrog Art Contest:
50 hours of assembly training finally paid off.
STUFF I'VE WORKING ON NOW:
Tankman Triweekly:
There will be a new issue of Tankman Triweekly on February 22nd, or 2/22/2022. I also got front-page privileges on that account, so hopefully we'd get this to a wider audience.
Iceologer's Revenge 2:
As soon as Flash Flood is over I'll work towards finishing this. I missed two chances to get it out on February, so hopefully I don't screw this one up again.
FLYCOM:
This is a gaming commentary + whatchamacallit channel I launched last month to coincide with Pixel Day 2022.
A new episode may be coming in March. I don't plan to dedicate all my effort into making new FLYCOM episodes all the time.
Secret Game Project:
Not revealing anything yet, but I'm working on something BIG with this (or medium large at least.)
I'm only going to reveal a few things:
- It will be an RPG like Final Fantasy, not necessarily turn-based, but it ain't Undertale.
- It will be made in Scratch, which shouldn't affect its quality too much. Remember that An Ordinary Adventure and its second installment exist on here. All that matters is how much effort I put into it, which could take several years on and off.
OTHER STUFF:
The Tank Tribune:
Due to @The-Great-One having to deal with all sorts of personal issues, there hasn't been a new issue of @TheTankTribune in months, but thankfully it's coming back this Monday (around Feb 21st), or at least this is what he messaged me recently.
I'm finally doing something good for a change. Despite only having 30 followers and despite the aforementioned lack of Tank Tribune issues, I've made the decision to in its absence, continued to create new Triweekly issues.
NG: Zero Hour
This is an run 'n' gun game originally announced in 2015, but was cancelled when the original programmer left, but since been resurrected years later
There's finally a release date, ie. Pico Day 2022! It's possible that it'll get delayed again, but I'm still hyped for it.
I first heard of NG Zero Hour on this date 1 year ago, when @ThatJohnnyGuy was asking for new pixel artists. I was one of those people, and I contributed a handful of sprites, those mostly coming from enemies / bosses.
TL;DR: This game was stuck in development hell for 7 years.
Thats it.
